Getting Started with your Playdate

What’s in the box?

• Your Playdate!

• One yellow USB-C to USB-A cable.

• A printed version of this Starter Guide.

Setup intro

Once you turn on your Playdate, you’ll be prompted to go through the setup process.

The setup process will have you:

• Connect to Wi-Fi.

• Connect your unit to your Playdate account by signing into https://play.date/. You might have already set up a Playdate Account with your email when you reserved your unit on the Playdate website, use that same email address.

• Set up the time on your unit.

Playdate already connected to an account? If you acquired a Playdate second-hand that’s connected to a previous owner’s account, please contact us for assistance. Make sure to include your Playdate’s serial number, found printed inside the crank dock.

When will my Season One games deliver?

After completing the setup process, the first two games will start downloading to your unit. You will receive two new games every Monday Pacific Time for twelve weeks, twenty-four games total.

If you’re not seeing your games, you can manually download them by going to Settings and Games.

How to keep my Playdate up-to-date?

The lock screen will let you know when there’s a new update. You can also go to Settings and then Check For Update to see if there’s an update.
