What needs to be sent back for your RMA?

Your Playdate and any components of your Playdate
The USB cable

Your replacement Playdate will be new-in-box and will come with a new USB cable and packaging.

Packing up your RMA

We recommend placing your Playdate in its original box and packaging it either in a secondary box with bubble wrap or other packing material, or a well-padded shipping envelope.

Please note: We’ll never penalize any shipping damage that might occur as a result of the returns process itself. We know accidents happen: packages can get lost, accidentally run over by a mail truck (this has happened!!) or otherwise mishandled by the courier en route to Panic.

However, if your return is sent back in packaging that may have led to additional damage not initially outlined in your RMA request, your RMA may be void, and your original Playdate will be sent back to you

Do we need your cover back?

Unless otherwise specified, if you purchased a cover for your Playdate, please do not include it in your shipment; hold on to it for your replacement!

If you don’t have a printer, taking the label to your local USPS office will allow them to print it for you and provide a box if you need it. Alternatively, if you have a printer and a shipping box at home, USPS allows you to schedule a home pickup using their website. https://tools.usps.com/schedule-pickup-steps.htm

Your Replacement

Once we get your Playdate back here at our office and verify the condition, we’ll get your replacement sent out to you. It’ll be shipped via USPS Priority, and you’ll receive a tracking number via email when it ships.

Backing up your Playdate

Before you send your old one back, you can backup and restore your save data using this method. Then, when you get your new Playdate and set it up, you will have the ability to restore your place within Season One via your Playdate account page by clicking the “Details” button next to any Playdate you have registered.
