Refurbished Playdate Products

At times, we may offer refurbished Playdate products at a discounted price. Before buying one, here’s what you need to know about the ways these devices differ from brand-new ones we sell.

Refurbishment Process

Certain hardware units will be set aside for our Refurbished stock. These are then inspected by Panic or our manufacturing partners, and they’re certified to be just as functional as new products.

Differences between New and Refurbished Products

• These products may have very minor cosmetic blemishes—small areas of discoloration, scuffs and scratches, or other imperfections which should in no way affect the functionality of the device. A refurbished Playdate should play games and perform other tasks as well as a brand-new one.

• Refurbished products will ship in protective packaging different to our regular retail boxes. Refurbished Playdates come with the same USB-C to USB-A charging cable.

• Refurbished products include a six-month warranty. The terms of the warranty are otherwise the same as those of our standard one-year Playdate Warranty.

• Refurbished Playdates include 24 Season One games.

Returning Refurbished Products

We won’t be able to accept returns of refurbished products for minor cosmetic issues, as described above. The warranty will cover larger issues, especially those that affect the device’s ability to play games.
