Playdate still registered to a previous owner?

Your Playdate will need to be de-registered before you can attach it to your account. Unfortunately, for safety and security reasons, Panic cannot assist in this process.

If you can contact the previous owner

  1. Ask them to visit their Playdate device page
  2. They should click the appropriate Details button, then the Remove Device button.
  3. Once they have removed the Playdate from their account, you will be able to register it to your Playdate account. You’re all set!

If you can’t contact the previous owner

…you may need to get a refund on your Playdate purchase. Please contact the venue where you purchased it and let them know that you will not be able to use it in its current state.

NOTE: This post does not apply to refurbished Playdates sold by Panic, which should always arrive ready to register. If for some reason the Playdate you receive from Panic is already registered, contact Playdate support.
