Playdate Error e3

When you launch a game, your Playdate may display an Error e3 regarding the game being incompatible with your system version.

In this case, your Playdate OS is older than the game. To fix this, update your Playdate by going to Settings > System > System Update.

Note: It’s possible that the game in question was built with an unreleased, future version of the Playdate SDK. In that case, you’ll have to wait for the Playdate system update to become public before running this game. This is unlikely to happen unless you’ve received the game from someone developing them on the cutting edge of unreleased, beta versions of the SDK. (Perhaps you’re the one doing so? If so, nice!)
