Updating your Playdate

It’s a good idea to keep your Playdate updated to the most recent version of the system software to make sure it gets all the latest updates, fixes, and features.

To update your Playdate:

• Make sure your Playdate is connected to a WiFi network.
• Go to Settings on your Playdate.
• Go to System, then System Update.
• If there is a new system update, you will be prompted to install it.

Please keep your Playdate on, unlocked, and ideally connected to USB power during the update process. It should take a relatively short time; no more than a minute or two.

Update Notification

Occasionally, you may see a System Update notice at the top of the Home screen (above the list of your games). This will let you know about a pending update, though you can also always check for an update manually using the steps outlined above.
